About The Event
Demand for healthcare in the MENA region has risen as a result of high population growth, increased life expectancy, lower mortality rates, the prevalence of lifestyle related diseases, and an aspiration for better quality healthcare services. The Government of Kuwait is in the process to establish a mandatory health insurance system for expatriates living in the country with a strong and comprehensive provider network. Simultaneously, the Government is working on introducing health insurance coverage for all Kuwaitis starting with the retired citizens in the course of the next few years.
Kuwait Health Investment & Insurance Conference serves as the only gathering of the most influential decision makers from investors, healthcare providers, pharmaceuticals and other industry to discuss and collaborate on the developments of mandatory health insurance in the region; look into global healthcare trends that will shape the future changes; strengthen payer and provider partnerships; and the emerging role of employers and patients in the mandatory health coverage.
Two previous editions of the Conference brought over 400 premium attendees each from Kuwait and the Region for an industry analysis, global and local best practice sharing, in-depth discussions and networking, for creating an appropriate regulatory framework for Kuwait's health insurance system, discussing the role of the private sector and incentivizing rational investment into health care services.
The congress will host regulators and key stakeholders from the health insurance who will tackle the medical insurance issues through presentations, workshops and panel discussions.
